Read a bunch of relevant threads but no answer.

On AA, once you do OLCI you're stuck with the seats you've chosen until you're at the airport (see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...fter-olci.html) (incidentally, you can't even un-check yourself!)

Since I have a UA flight with some pretty crappy PRS (pre reserved seats), I would like to know if once I do OLCI I can then subsequently change the seat online (through OLCI, like with BA, I presume), as if there still are no good seats when I do OLCI I would skip it if it means locking me into crappy seats.
