I would suggest you hold the one J seat. You don't have to cancel after 30 days and rebook. You can call back in 25 days or so, and have them extend it another 30 days. You can do that until your travel date, but 21 days or less before departure and you'll be charged a $75 expedite fee.

Also, if you get the right agent, they can call Finnair and ask to have a seat released. You might want to pull the "honeymoon" string and see if it gets you anywhere.

If you cancel an award, the $50 fee applies to credit back the miles and re-book. I've been on the JFK-HEL flight a few times, and J was always empty. They have the seats, but it looks like they only offer very few for AA award bookings.
