I've not flown TAM in first but I've been very happy with the service and have heard from other FTers of good F experience.

A couple of thoughts; First, the 2 for 200,000 first class on AA still exists for a while so if 2 of you are going you'd save 50,000 miles This is assuming GIG, GRU or CNF are the destinations. Second, you can use a 125,000 mile TAM award and fly to any destination TAM serves in Brasil and fly AA one direction and TAM the other - you are only required to fly one TAM segment on this award - and compare the service.

Regardless of the choice just going to Brasil is very exciting.
