I think in my experience if the miles are reset to zero it means CX has reset you early. Check the month/year - month/year count, has that been reset as well?
I personally believe this is seen as a "benefit" at first, but it's a CX trick. If you have a pattern of travel, and CX keep resetting you early, it could really mess up your plan to renewal the memberships especially if you have multiple FFP memberships.
