And this is why we flew to BCN from DUB last month rather than ORK. DUB-ZRH-BCN return was roughly €151: the difference between flying out of ORK. Sure there were other costs, and there was a significant amount of grumbling from people who weren't me, but it all worked out...

I promised after that (and after checking my mileage this year) that we'd only go direct from ORK after this, secretly hoping that the limited selection and added cost causes additional problems but it's also probably our last year here too. Shame, since it's quite the nice airport and I'd love to use it more, but when it's frequently cheaper overall to travel to LHR via DUB (plus miles on BD) it becomes a bit less attractive.
