It must have been emotional for the crew Cam and I can well understand the sentiment. I too made a cabin announcement 11 yrs. ago about being the last flight where we would be seen in Wardair uniform and flying under the Wardair name. I know how they felt.

It was kind of funny today on my flight. ATC in YWG hailed us while I was in the cockpit. They called us as Cdn 3814. After almost responding Cdn., the Captain verbally stumbled a bit and corrected himself to say Air Canada 3814... Afterwards he sighed and said "It's going to take a little practice". Walking into the crew room after arrival in YYZ I noticed the recycle bins overflowing with blank Canadian forms and paperwork we were using up till now.

Despite our promising future, we are all going to miss our old home and the goose that carried us up to the heavens.
