Since you are in Japan, I suggest you call the local number for each chain hotel you want to use rather than use the related web site.

Every now and again I get repeated messages telling me there is no availability at a hotel I try to book via the internet at the hotel's web site.

When I telephone the hotel or the reservation system for the hotel, I always get a booking.

To my knowledge, there is nothing special going on during the period you want to be in Sao Paulo.
