Thanks for suggesting this Liz. I was debating between a cell phone rental or finding enough wifi in tokyo to use on my iPod Touch (that would have been quite a lot of starbucks I visited).

What's the difference between the wifi pass and monthly plan, other than the wifi pass is available for different number of days? It seems like anything over 1 day at 800 yen is more than the monthly pay-by-packet plan.
