I guess what I am asking is even if I could push it to 100K this year, is the benfits of SE worth it for 2011?

I don't fly much for work, all trips I do are for family or scuba diving.

Last year because AC allowed NA certs for Tango flights I was using those up first and by end of 2009 I still had a couple red and blue certs left that didn't even get used.

I would like to get 1.5 or 2x miles on any trips I take, that would be useful, I know some of the other programs have that, not sure about AC

If your flying alot for work, then SE would be worth it for sure, but for the casual flyer who does maybe 2 or 3 vacation/family trips per year, and perhaps a couple solo MR/MT's I am not sure its worth it, its big difference 35K to 100K.
