You probably don't come from an environment where team work is essential.
Firstly, your assumption is wrong. Secondly IME not all team members are equal. In getting an aircraft from A to B, there are x number of BA personnel involved. To equate the role / remuneration / importance in the "team" of say a pilot with say a dispatcher or a baggage handler is just ridiculous. In the "team" all the players are paid according to their role i.e. its importance / difficulty / skill / training / ease of replacement etc.
It's a shame that people do not understand what they are ranting about.
Hey, it hasn't stopped them in the past, why should they start now!
