What anger over this stupid letter in this thread? Just the imaginary sort of anger you envision?
This incident wouldn't be what it was if not for the paranoid crew and foolish DHS/TSA doing what they did.
Thousands of people try to smoke tobacco on flights annually and this kind of stupid reaction -- the reaction that the TSA acting administrator is applauding -- doesn't occur. Either DHS/TSA has failed repeatedly before or nothing has been accomplished by DHS/TSA this time either -- other than the accomplishment of TSA creating another opportunity to create and distribute its propaganda.

Has he confessed his thoughts to you, did you just read the Qatari diplomat's mind, or does he have a history of repeatedly causing incidents that provoke a law enforcement reaction that gets disabled because "he knew he could get away with it" (presumably under diplomatic immunity-related status)? Since you claim he knew he was going to cause a huge incident and didn't mind because he knew he could get away with it, which is it? Wishful thinking?
It seems like you are a fan of unnecessary violence, given your last sentence above.
