What type of compensation were you looking for exactly? A comped high roller suite and $5,000 cash? I mean, really. A new room and $150 credit is more than adequate.

The housekeeping staff member should be, and probably will be, fired, which is certainly appropriate. Next time you stay in a hotel room, any hotel room, even the one you're moving to, try using an ultraviolet light source and you'll be surprised at all the semen stains on bed spreads, carpet, couches, etc. It's yucky, but a fact of life. Humans do have sex in hotel rooms.

What's even worse to me, is what a cruise ship housekeeping staff member told a friend. She said to warn others to always bring their own bath towels on cruises as staff use clean bathroom towels to wipe the rim of the wash basin and toilet, fold it up nicely and place it back on the bathroom towel rack. I hardly think this is unique to cruise ships. Whenever I check into a hotel, I always check the towels and if I see a cart in the hallway, I always ask to exchange towels.
