Yes..the previous post is correct. If AA makes ANY schedule change, the contract has been broken, and you are entitled to a FULL refund, credited to your original form of payment (not a voucher, and no change fees). I'm not a lawyer (but am a doctor!), and have used this rule before.
To get this, I've had to ask on the phone for a supervisor (most agents try to talk you into the voucher, or the voucher minus the change fee). You also must have the supervisor enter into the record that you want a full refund to your credit card. Call AA back several times until you find someone that is familiar with this rule!
Then you must mail a letter with your tickets (or a ticket receipt) to AA Refunds in Tulsa, Oklahoma (I suggest certified with return receipt), and wait 1 or 2 months.
Even if you do all these steps, Tulsa will sometimes send you vouchers and subtract change fees (happened to me last month). So I remailed the vouchers to Tulsa via certified mail with note to supervisor, (and had new note put in record), and I'm waiting again for them to get it right. I'm a persistent person!
