Interlining is a lot of work, is time critical and seems to be the first thing that LCCs drop. Even pre-LCC carriers that are almost legacy, such as Southwest airlines in the US, don't interline after 20 years (and lots of requests for it). Every else changes, but interlining (or not) does not.
Actually JQ almost embraces interlining (for LCC standards this is). They have 12 agreements at the moment (up from 9 agreements last year). Bruce Buchanan stated that they want to do a lot more of those agreements as QF gets a significant (he said double digit million) revenue from JQ domestic flights booked in connection with other airlines flight flights into Australia.
