Speaking the short DTW-TOL, DTW is really killing TOL. It's very close to Toledo (in fact I used to live in north Toledo, and DTW was the same distance from my house as TOL, 40 min.)

Oddly, sometimes airfares to visit my old country, Hungary are cheaper departing from TOL than from DTW. Of course one of the stops is DTW On the way to BUD there is no way to skip the TOL-DTW otherwise they could void the rest of my flights to BUD, AFAIK. But on the way back I could just walk out the door in DTW and have a friend pick me up and get home much sooner than as if I completed the whole trip to TOL.
I see these DTW-TOL all the time above my house lining up for landing.
