No idea what the shortest regularly scheduled mainline DL flight is... but on par with the above re-positioning scenario, I did see one time at ATL when they had a flight with the number 9998 which was ATL - ATL. Lots of irrops at that time; I assume it was related to them. Either way, it was cool to see a flight with total mileage of... 0.
