No problem Kage. I just wanted to make it clear where I had eaten as I have tried far fewer Caribbean places than many other posters here, so can't compare with other resorts in the same area. Rather I was making the point that Banyan Tree is a beautiful resort with near-perfect service, so the dining experience really let it down...but I do have high standards re food!

I didn't try the MO as a result of a series of negative reviews about the catering at the Rivera Maya property - I wish we had given it a go now.
