AA does not offer "Business Class" to or from Hawaii; if it did, you could convert your MR points to BA miles and get the roundtrip for only 70,000 BA miles. But since AA denominates the premium cabin on its Hawaii flights as "First Class," BA requires 105,000 miles for the roundtrip to Hawaii from the lower 48.

You might look into converting your MR points into another carrier's program (e.g., Air Canada or ANA), as they might offer a better deal for the DFW-HNL award. But you would have to redeem miles from those programs on Star Alliance carriers, like UA, and not on AA.
