I'm a new Gold VIP. I understand I get free continental breakfast as part of my stay. If I book the single rate (with no inclusions like breakfast/dinner, etc), with the expectation that my spouse will stay free, does he also get the free continental breakfast? Anyone know how that works?

Breakfast is
NOT part of the routine Gold benefits. You have to pick it as your MyWay choice. If you don't pick the upgrade/breakfast option, you
DO NOT get breakfast. Make sure you check your MyWay options before you go on your trip to ensure you have upgrade/breakfast picked if that is your choice.
If you DO pick the upgrade choice, you and your guest are entitled to the free breakfast. WITHOUT the upgrade choice, NO BREAKFAST or upgrade. Without upgrade to an Executive Room, you also WILL NOT get Executive Lounge access. You can only get Executive Lounge access IF you pick the upgrade option AND you get upgraded to an Executive Room.
As a new Gold VIP, read the Gold VIP T&C. Also read the FAQs posted at the very top of the forum. It'll answer many of your questions and save you from disappointment from mis-understanding what you are and are NOT entitled to.
