I have found the Jetstar International product to be quite reasonable and given the cheaper cost of exit rows on JQ ($41 vs $80) I would take them in preference. Also, the StarClass fares are fairly reasonably priced for a decent comfort flight

That , plus avoiding the hassles of going via Sydney would make the JQ option quite appealing to me
