This is probably a question for Chase or BAEC, but i'll ask here first in case anyone else has come across this issue already.

With the BA 100K offer my wife took in January of this year, I purchased a dishwasher for $800 that went toward the promo for the $2,000 spend in the first 90 days of receiving the card. After i hit just over the $2,000 mark i put the card in the drawer for the most part. I think total spend since January, when i got that card, is only around $3,000 (if that matters).

I'm wanting to return the dishwasher for a better one (wife insists on a double drawer one). Will this refund of cash on the card cause an issue with the miles being taken back for returning the item and getting the refund back to the card, since this particular purchase is what put me over the top on the original $2,000 spend? Without this purchase I would have not made the 2k spend in 90 days.

Anyone have any experience with something like this? Could the miles be taken back, or could they charge me for the miles received if I refund the dishwasher purchase?
