While not planning anything specific, I am curious as to feedback about these cabin categories on the newer ships such as the Eurodam. While walking through a HAL brochure recently I noticed some cabins located on one of the top decks, the observation deck category VT on Eurodam, and thought they would offer not only that little more luxury but a convenient location close to what was my favorite spot on a recent cruise aboard the Zuiderdam which is the Crow's Nest and Explorations Cafe.
The deck plan called it a
viewing balcony and judging by the rounded shape it doesn't seem like it's a large enough space to seat two so not quite the full kind of verandah as in other categories. However I would think being on the top public deck the view would naturally be better than elsewhere but I'm curious whether this new "spa cabin" sales technique is more spin than reality. Do the extras really add enough value to justify the cost to upgrade from a standard verandah suite, which was what I was in on the Zuiderdam?
I'd be curious to hear from any HAL cruisers with opinions if there are any in the forum.
