I spend my companies money as if it were my own. "losing" out on points to save the company money is a good trade off in my book. In fact the hotel I'm at weekly just went to their summer rate (139/night) which is fine but I talked to the GM and got them to give me 89/night going forward. So I'm "losing" points/night + plat bonus X 3-4 nights week for the rest of th summer. I'm VERY pleased to be saving my employeer/customer $.

Would you be just the same is they gave you a free night? this was your question to the OP. My answer to your questions was , YES, I think they would.

Maligning your integrity to your corporation or your customers? Not my intent at all; sorry that you took it that way.
