I need a piece of advice from you guys. I'm certain with some experience of being FFP member you can help me with my query.

Profile.

Starting Point: Bombay
Destination: Mainland EU; USA (west and east coast). In all 4-6 travels EU and USA. 2-4 travels to ASIA, Ocenia, ME.
Travel Class: Business
Priority: 1. Lounge access; 2. Fast move to top tier; 3. Upgrades
Preffered airlines: Swiss/BA

Queries:
BA sets tier points to zero on moving up the ladder. Typical British.
I want to know if M&M sets the meter to zero for its status miles on moving up the ladder.

I found that wether you are Gold/Silver/Blue you get the same tier points in exec club. Is that right? Also, M&M gives double status miles to FT? Is it right to conclude that moving up the ladder and retaining status in M&M is easier than Exec club?

Which alliance is better in terms of: earning and spending points on alliance member flights; Lounge; concierge service to top tier members?

Which is easier to get and to retain Premiere or Hon status? I read on the BA website that Premiere are approved by the board.

I've read on lot of places that AA gives you liftime status after 1M or 2M miles. Anyone got any idea of other airlines with such programs.
