Personally, the following route structure make sense to me for JAL into Europe;

- LHR - daily flight + BA codeshare
- CDG - daily flight
- FRA - daily flight

AMS can be served via LHR or CX codeshare via HKG. MXP/FCO can also be served via CX through HKG. I think, it would be best for JAL to expand HND-HKG operations, in order to connect to CX flight opportunities via HKG.

I think JAL must make a decision about its future, and this will determine what routes are kept or not internationally. The decision stems down to whether it just wants to serve the Japan O+D market (and focus on international operations out of HND), or whether it sees long-term advantage in restructuring as a feeder airline, particularly in the US-Asia market (and focus on operations out of NRT).
