Remember the simple rule: the steering wheel should be away from the curb! And brush up on a couple of the traffic rules, the most important being how to enter a roundabout (the right of way is important and everyone presumes you know), also the rules about turning on red lights (don't know the current NZ rules but most countries are the opposite to the US). Generally driving in NZ is much easier than in UK or Australia due to less traffic (though AKL natives might disagree with that!).
