If my math is correct, I will have upgrades available one leg of each trip after I hit oro and plat. The JFK-BOG trip is just shy of 5k a trip. And, for each 10k flown, you get 2 upgrades. When you hit gold you get two vouchers and platinum, a few more. I am just trying to figure out if I should shoot for ex plat. I am one trip off (projected) for the year. Beyond the 6 upgrade certificates, I can't see any benefits for ex plat when flying only international. Most of the benefits seem to fall on the domestic side. How long are the certificates valid? (one year or duration of elite status?) Any insight from the forum?
