It was pretty hassle free getting from NRT to the hotel. Caught the first N'Ex train (a 15 minute wait) after arriving at NRT, and the train time was about an hour. Navigated myself to the south exit of the station, crossed the road and walked to the hotel which was a block and a half away.

Hotel was ok - nothing amazing in the rooms, but the bed was a decent size. Bathroom was a prefab plastic effort, but was clean and had good water pressure. (I've stayed in many 'nice' hotels where the water pressure was extremely poor).

Had a very nice bar and restaurant, but we tended to eat out every night.

I'd certainly go back to Japan, and indeed my partner is heading there next month on business!
