How and why does availability change so quickly..?
I've been keeping my eye on ex-JNB availability for next Thursday. For a week or so, all that's been available were one or two seats in F on any of the three flights.
Then, lo and behold, last the night the 34 started showing plenty of availability in all classes (except W) - good for me!
However, I can't believe that in the space of a couple of hours around 10 flexible seats in every class were released by their previous occupants. Hence, what could this be?
Revenue management holding then releasing availability to mop-up the typical overbooking on the earlier 56/54? The 56 has disappeared completely from sale. Perhaps the same for other airlines? All other carriers are full. Anything else?
I'm just curious, you see...
