That must have been a bit dramatic,
scanning four boarding passes at the gate.
My name on all the boarding passes. The gate was no big deal. The real problem was that on a packed flight, you'd get people trying to switch into the "open" seats. Once I got an OPUP into 4 seats in business which was totally useless. I arrived last minute at the gate; the plane was fully packed, seated and ready to go so they wouldn't let me refuse the upgrade.
