So for that reason I'll throw MSP under the bus.....
I wasn't going to chime in, but definitely agree with this. Have only connected once in MSP, from regional to mainline, and was surprised at the walk between the gates. Plus, I don't find the restaurant/bar options good at all.
ATL really has been sucking lately as well. Just to find a place to sit and have a quick lunch at certain times is nearly impossible.
But I have to give more love to MDW and ORD. MDW has certainly improved in recent years, and I love that you go to the gates from security in a matter of a minute (seriously). And I love the Sky Club at ORD -- is it the only one with a self-serve bar right now?
My vote for the worst mainline is SAN. Long, long security lines at certain times, poor food options, tiny Sky Club, unfriendly staff (compared to the otherwise friendly city), ridiculous drives to the rental cars, extreme waits for baggage, bad layout to parking, etc. Can't believe this airport doesn't get mentioned more often -- probably because it is so close to downtown.
