Sometime soon after 9/11 I had a wierd experience at Boston. They had one set of ground crew working Monday morning. Since releasing each aircraft took 10-15 minutes, AA could clear only 4-5 flights to take-off every hour. You can imagine to what that let to. Every flight was a couple of hours late, not because of weather, flight crew or anything else but due to the fact that there was no one to push the aircraft back from the gate!! Hopefully things have become better.
