We recently went to the Clubhouse Cafe across the street of LM (I believe it is the same chef/ownership) and were very impressed with the food.
It is a cheaper version since it is a little more crowded and "hip" than the fancy restaurants, but we had a great time. cost for couple was about $75-$80 including cocktail and dessert.
