Shortly after my long trip report from the other day about IAD-MAD, a member of EI cabin crew pm'd me to thank me for the feedback. When i boarded my return, an EI supervisor was on board, so I made a point of giving him my feedback. Can you imagine my surprise when:
A) He had received a briefing of my trip report from crew that had read it
b) he printed it out with the intention of reading it on the flight but was stoked to get my feedback in person
c) He was super receptive to my feedback, essentially laying out that he was personally responsible for refining the service levels and gave me some good explanations about the craziness of the IAA's rules
D) he seemed genuinely interested in making the product a success
It was awesome.
No offense, AD but I think your philosophy prevents you from getting all the feedback you might need.
BTW, the service was excellent - just as it was on the outbound. I'll write up a full trip report shortly.

Hi gabrielz,
I am glad that you got such a caring response. I realize that we can sometimes become jaded in thinking that the crew doesn't really care about what we think, but I know I would care if I had that job (and I was assigned regularly to that specific route).

Here is the response from 1KVoice:
Dear HB,
Thank you for writing in concerning the United/Aer Lingus flights.
You will earn all benefits on these flights. Yes it will put you closer to a Confirmed Regional Upgrade and yes it will be added to your lifetime miles towards Million Mile status.
As a member of our Mileage Plus Program, you are especially important to United.

Hi Terinamai,
Thank you for your complete response.
I have two more questions. Do these miles count toward the quarterly 10,000 BIS mile requirement for earning Confirmed Regional Upgrades? Also, do these miles count for lifetime United miles?
