Agree the business class on the NE Regional is very comfortable and a good value. Took it July 4th week last year from WND to WAS and back.
Since Amtrak fares are normally booked as one way segments, another alternative is to try the NE Regional in one direction and the Acela in the other so you can experience travel in both types of trains.
