I'm glad you had a most enojoyable return flight. The above experience is exactly what I have experienced with EI several times.
My feeling is that when boarding an EI flight on my way back home, especially from the US, I feel that I am already at home, because the hospitality, interest, care and diligence of the EI crew is simply fantastic and its an example for many other members of crew across the globe.
There is an ethos/ethic that many of the EI cabin crew possess that is simply fantastic.
