The glimmer of hope this offers is if the offer by Southwest indicates that they're under pressure to generate more ridership/revenues, which could indicate something about the market generally. But that's a hope rather than a prediction.

OTOH, even if a legacy does respond, it won't necessarily take the form of DEQM. But again, we can keep hoping...or should I say, keep grasping at straws?
