G-BDXH was delivered to BA in March 1979 and withdrawn in October 2001, so the Jakarta incident happened when it was quite new. It was sold to European Aviation and operated miscellaneous charter flights, mainly supporting the Formula One teams in summer 2002 and flights from Manchester to Orlando in summer 2003. An overhaul at Bristol Filton was given up halfway through in early 2004 when European ran out of money, and it was finally ferried over to Bournemouth in February 2005 and abandoned there.
