I'd agree with splitting the trip 50:50 between sultanahmet and Bosphorus.
The former is old Turkey and close to all you want to see.

Bosphorus is a joy and ,you won't want to leave it or if you do you will be dying to get back to it.I've never had a problem hanging around reading a book by that pool!
Ergo do sultanahmet first.
