I rarely check bags, but have to when I go skiing. On my last ski trip (Dec/Jan) as a 1K flying nonstop from a HUB to another freaking HUB, my bag was put on the incorrect flight in BOTH directions.
On the outbound, I was told my bag would be delivered. It never was, and I had to go BACK to the airport to get it

On the return, my bag was delivered at 6am on a Sunday morning.
All bags had priority tags. Priority my a$$!

My experiences with the priority tags are the exact opposite. Although I rarely check bags the times I have into DEN/MYR/ATL/CLT/ORD/SAV/PHX over the past few years and multiple times to a few of those my bag has been among the first few down. Exception being golfs clubs in DEN where they come on the oversized area along the wall and always take forever.
Over the past couple years those tags have done wonders for me domestically with zero lost luggage and almost always first out.
Guess it all depends or I'm extremely lucky.
