This type of guy is what gives PEOPLE in general (not just us EXPs) a bad name. He was probably some spoiled little brat who got everything he ever wanted when he was young, works in some self-important job and considers himself to be a young-turk master of the universe.

So what if he is an EXP and someone was upgraded before him. Maybe his upgrade request wasn't made until after the upgrade window for PLTs and GLDs was opened and so he was just late.

I find it quite amusing that he had the gumption to ask that someone be downgraded so that he could sit up front.

I am an EXP and I have never thrown such a hissy fit (and please, may one of my fellow FTrs slap me around a bit if they ever catch me doing so). When I request an upgrade at the last minute at the AC and there isn't any space, oh well, then I sit in the back. Usually, as an EXP, I have already reserved a "good" seat in the back anyway (exit row, aisle towards the front of the cabin, bulhead etc.).
