Oh my goodness. I was embarressed to be an EXP today after I saw this act from another EXP. I hope he reads this to see how idiodic he looked and acted.
I was at the AC and was standing behind this guy. He was leaning over the counter trying to see the computer screen.
He asked for an upgrade and the Agent (who kept her cool and was amazingly professional to this j*rk) apologized and informed him "we are full up front".
He asked "you must have upgraded someone in front of me. Downgrade them." Yes, he asked that she downgrade someone for him.
She said "sir, we have 22 seats (a 757) and we are booked at 22 in first. We have 12 full fare paying first class passengers..."
He then went off saying that meant there were 10 non-paying upgrades and he should get one. Heard the "I am an executive platinum and you are making me sit in coach?"
She explained (although I don't believe he had the right to know) that those people were flying on award fares and that there was another EXP (that would be me

) on the flight. It is Christmas and the flights are full.....
She put him on the standby list and he went storming into the club muttering under his breath that he shouldn't have to sit in coach...
I am sorry. But that was just inexcusable. I apologized to the agent on behalf of the rest of us EXPs. I told her I wasn't like that guy and not to worry. "If you buy a coach ticket, that is what you may just end up getting". I left her with a couple SOSs to make up for Mr. Meany.
Anyways, just wanted to throw that out there as I sit in the AC waiting for 1541 to DFW. It will be interesting to see if he complains on the plane too....
