Great review TRAVELSIG. The rooms overlooking Gendarmenmarkt are my favorite in the hotel.
You didn't mention the swimming pool which is in the vault of the building which used to be the HQ of Dresdner Bank - a bit dark (like most of the hotel) but adds to the hotels charme.
