Doubting it will stick at the other airlines, but Airfare Watchdog is reporting that Spirit Air will start charging for any carry on larger then 16 x 14 x 12.

They will charge $20 / $30 / $45 to bring on a bag up to 22 x 18 x 10 based on when you pay the fee.

Spirit obviously will not drive the market, but if others jump on board, will there be a new rush of wheeled carryon's that fit? An explosion of rolling totes? Should I stock up now and resell on e-bay? Kidding of course.

Just something to keep an eye on to see if anybody else joins the fray.
