Indeed. In the early 80s, I didn't feel safe anywhere in Manhattan at night. 20 years later, my teenagers would be out late at night and I was never worried. Big change for which I give Giuliani full credit, much as I dislike the man. And it's Fort Tryon, not Fort Tyron.
