We are planning another trip back to St Tropez in mid-August. Last time we stayed at Hotel Byblos, followed by a couple of nights at the Hotel Yaca et Y. Of the two, we enjoyed the Yaca et Y far more. We found the Byblos to be rather a "shallow" hotel with few redeeming features, despite its renowned reputation in St Tropez.

In planning this August's trip, we were wondering if there are any new hip spots in St Tropez that we should consider. Last time we both thought the Hotel la Maison Blanche looked interesting. Has anyone had any experiences here?

Both the Byblos and the Hotel Yaca are in the old part of St Tropez. We would prefer this area more, hence ruling out the Chateau De La Messardiere which is set out of town.

But if anyone has any fresh ideas that would be greatly appreciated.
