Bumping an old thread to see if anyone has any additional comments on a luxury spa retreat. Like the OP, I'm looking to get away for a couple of days or a week and focus on relaxation, diet and fitness. I too will be going by myself (thanks SO for starting a new job with only one week of vacation!!) I have some concerns that as a guy traveling alone I will end up at a place full of couples with kids or even a "girlfriend getaway" place and feel totally out of place. Unlike the OP, I am east coast based so I am leaning more towards a spa close by to avoid a 6+ hour flight to CA or AZ. Have looked at Woodloch in the past and am leaning towards it. Any other suggestions close by or should I just bite the bullet and fly out to CA or AZ and pick one of the ones previously mentioned?
Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires. I wouldnt even consider another place given what you are looking for. I think there will be other single men there as well. My wife and I went but I seem to recall meeting others who were there alone.
