A question for Avionics Guy.
Was on flight 847 from MUC on April 4.Seat
#16C on a 767-200ER.On at least 2 occasions,
there was cigarette smoke noticed in the washroom area.(On one occassion the FA's were pulling garbage out of the lav.)They never did find the individual(s).
Why did the detectors not go off? It seems
that if they were operational, a sound would have been heard.We could certainly smell the smoke in our area.
