Just call them, tell them there was an opp change and that your travel agent can't change it without a fee, and AirTran will allow the change. Well, I tried calling Airtran and I tried calling the Flexperks people, and I am not a happy camper.
Airtran says they can't make any changes -- they say I have to get the Travelperks people to request any changes.
The Travelperks people have attempted to make the change several times, and I was told today that the change was accepted, but then the reservation reverted back to the 3-hour-later itinerary I iam trying to get rid of.
The strange thing (to me) is that the flights I originally had, and which I am trying to get again, are still listed as available for the dates I am flying in June on the Airtran website. Flights 345 and 51. So it's not as if the flights have been cancelled.
I imagine what I need to do is to call Airtran and ask for a supervisor. Any other advice most welcome!
