Taxi's to LGA are metered and not flat rate. You may want to use a car service as it comes out to be about the same price. A taxi has run me about $40 with tip and toll.

Lots of the car services are $45 flat rate (or at least negotiable to $45). You can usually find them waiting outside some of the nicer hotels or book ahead if you want them waiting for you.
